If you had asked me 10 years ago where I would be today, my answer would not have been playing World of Warcraft. Iron Knights was born a cutting edge progression raiding guild, but like every other child it learns and evolves as it grows. Today’s Iron Knights is a brotherhood, a home for laughter, and a group that you can count on to pick you up when you’re down. The Iron Knights of 2018 is a family.
Over the past 10 years this guild has seen hundreds of members in every expansion. Some come for gear, others come for the content, and others still come because they’re looking for something in a guild that they haven’t found elsewhere. Looking back it is the ghosts of that last group who’s voices I can still hear today. Voices of Iron Knights that found what they were looking for with us and used their unique personalities to forge the unbreakable bonds that hold us together today.
Iron Knights like Tundak who told us that this guild could be possible. Lovelyelf who refused to give up and drove us forward even when the rest of us had lost faith. Krissy who’s personality had the innate ability to give others around her hope. Raystlynn, who’s loyalty was so strong his wife accused him of signing a contract to the guild in blood. Anathyma, the only person besides Amirasidhe to ever be regarded as the guild mom. Metias, who always winked so slyly.
During the month of May it is only right that we remember those who’s legacy built the foundation of Iron Knights, and pay homage to those Iron Knights like Amirasidhe, Skuggs, and Kainslayer who have stood the test of time. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, meeting you was truly the honor of a lifetime.
“And the world will remember the day when a group of drunkards, thieves, and neerdowells stood fast and firm, and shook the heavens with the strength of their resolve.”
